On Wednesday 14th of March our students celebrated their Fallas fiesta.
Wednesday 14th March was a very special day for Los Olivos students. First thing in the morning the students from Year 10 went to the Primary school to collect the “ninots” that each class has been making to take them to the Secondary school where the “Falla” was to be set up. Once all the models the classes from Nursery to Year 9 had been assembled the students worked with their teachers to set up the “Falla”. All the classes then took turns to visit the “Falla” and were delighted to see how great it looked!
After lunch the students all changed into their traditional costumes in preparation for the dancing in the Primary school. There was great expectation from parents and other family members to see the result of all the hard work the students had put in learning the dances over the previous weeks. They were not disappointed and the dances were enthusiastically applauded.
Everyone then made their way to secondary to drink hot chocolate, take photos and enjoy the afternoon before watching the Falla burn.
We would like to thank everyone, especially the students, teachers and parents, for all their hard work and enthusiasm that helped make it such a special day. Thank you all!
